Fresh Kyles of Bute langoustines caught in the bay  in front of the hotel by Colin McCarthur  We then pan fry with garlic butter  served on rocket in starter or main course

Succulent Super King scallops hand dived from Loch Fyne, These are seared & served on award winning Stornoway black pud in starter or main course

Parma ham and fig salad with walnuts & drizzled with a light gorgonzola dressing

Traditional prawn cocktail

Giant field mushroom with melting goats’ cheese on bruschetta topped with onion relish & a bundle of rocket

Seafood chowder  filled with smoked haddock and prawns & crayfish

Beer battered haddock with garnish, tartar & homemade  chips

Colintraive Steak and Guinness pie filled with the best of Bute beef cooked for 3 hours in Patricia’s own gravy recipe served either  with veg  & tatties  or with chips - seriously generous helping

Luxury salad with hot smoked  salmon smoked by Ritchies of Rothesay, crayfish tails and prawns

10 oz char grilled steak  burger with a hint of Cumin  on floured bap with our yummy

red onion relish and home cut chips & salad

12 oz Isle of Bute rib eye steak with corn on the cob, mushroom, tomato and homemade chips

Sizzling chicken fajitas with wraps, sour cream and salsa - Also vegetarian option

Carbonara with pancetta, eggs, cream and parmesan shavings - Also vegetarian option


Isle of Bute lamb cutlets marinated with lemon and parsley, griddled and served with panfried tatties and rocket

Linguini pasta pescatori with mussels, crayfish tails, King prawns and garlicky tomato sauce (My Mums recipe)

Luxury Seafood pie filled with prawns and smoked haddock topped with mash and cheese along with a side salad

Steamed chunky haddock with white wine, capers lemon and coriander, asparagus and baby potatoes - fresh & healthy

Kids - Homemade Chicken nuggets or fish fingers with beans and chips or Bute sausages Beans, chips or Pasta Napoli sauce

Side portions of chips salad, veg, basket of bread


Chocolate fudge cake with hot choc sauce & ice cream

Sticky toffee pudding with sticky sauce and ice cream  OR Hot croissant pudding laced with apricots and Amaretto served with cream

Macintyre Bute butcher, Fyne fish, Loch Fyne for Scallops, Colin  for the Langoustines Fyne Ales from Loch Fyne  & wines from Argyll Vintners of Dunoon.& Fish from Ritchies of Rothesay, Winston for the venison & when the fire is roaring we thank Roddy  for the logs!
